Chicago Social Brides Magazine

We had a lot going on in this month's issue of CS Brides magazine.  Botanicals event design used one of our photos for a full page ad, one of our weddings from the Chicago Illuminating Co was featured, and also we were featured as one of the "new breed of wedding photographers that have broken free from the pack."

Washingtonian Bride and Groom Magazine

We are so excited to be a part of this new publication.  Washingtonian Bride and Groom is the Washingtonian's new bridal magazine highlighting wonderful ideas and vendors from the DC area.  We're pleased to not only be advertising in the mag but also listed on the Washingtonians Best Wedding Vendors for 2009 and "Ones to Watch."  Thanks so much to Jill Hudson Neal and her team for putting out a chic, clean and seamless publication for all the DC Metro brides.  Bride and Groom hit stands on December 15th so make sure to pick one up today!

DC Magazine

So we had the pleasure of photographing next month cover for DC Magazine this past Sunday night.  We are so excited about the opportunity as it is our first cover for Modern Luxury and it is the Inauguration Issue. Thanks so much to Jeff and Karen for making it happen. I can't say much more than that and will post the cover as soon as it is published.  They also told us that they were listing us with a photo in the contributors page, which I have attached (it's cropped from original).  Brad and I are not ones for being in front of the camera, so don't laugh to hard;)  We are stoked about the issue and the way the cover turned out, and looking forward to more opportunities with this rad publication.

CHRISTMAS!

So I know that we are a little slack on posting...tis the season and we are swamped.  However, we had the opportunity to decorate our house, have a skating party with friends and go see the most amazing show!  Andy Zipf opened up for Jeremy Egnik formally of Sunny Day Real Estate at Jammin Java last Friday night and it was incredible.  We hope that everyone has a blessed holiday season and we look forward to bringing you more of our exciting adventures in 2009!  Cheers!

Grand Manan

So I just recently returned from my yearly trip home.  It was an amazing experience once again, one that I am still reeling from!  My project is now in full swing and I am excited to work on the new images that I captured while I was there.  I shot my project digital for the first time, with my D3.  I have to say I was not wanting to depart from my Contax but I knew that the range with the D3 on this project was limitless.  It proved to be a wonderful transition and I really was able to stretch the boundaries of what I wanted to shoot in low light.  Here is one of my favorites from the trip.  I got to hang with my cousin Dwayne on his boat for a whole day and it was one of the best experiences for me as a photographer.  The men were so fun and so accommodating I can not thank them enough.  I felt like one of the crew and I can not wait to go again next season.  I will post more soon when I have a chance to edit.
